The Wallenford story begins with Matthew Wallen, a Captain in the British Navy who sailed to Jamaica in 1746 and, shortly thereafter, began pursuing his craft as a botanist. Captain Wallen began growing coffee in the Wallenford area of the Blue Mountains but the company’s production has since been expanded to the High Mountains of central and western Jamaica. High Mountain Supreme coffee is grown at an altitude of approximately 600 m above sea and offers a smooth full-bodied flavour, light acidity, clean taste and pleasant aroma.
