Jamaica - St Helena - Panama

For the most discerning connoisseurs, these coffees represent three of the worlds most highly regarded origins: St Helena (Bamboo Hedge Estate), Panama (La Esmeralda Grand Reserve) and Jamaica Blue Mountain (Clifton Mount Estate).

Jamaica Blue Mountain:

Renowned throughout the world for it's incomparable standard of quality, Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee must meet stringent regulations and be grown under specific conditions. Considered one of the best coffees in the world, it is distinguished by its unique location and micro-climate- grown at high altitude on a tropical island where near constant cloud cover gives perfect shading and the cool sea breezes provide ideal moisture.

All of our Jamaica Blue Mountain beans are 100% Grade 1, Screen 17/18, and certified as export quality by The Coffee Industry Board of Jamaica.

Clifton Mount Estate:

Clifton Mount is the oldest continually functioning coffee estate in the world and is recognized for producing the very finest quality Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee. The farm with its elegant Great House is located in the Newcastle region of the island and is situated on the Eastern slope of Catherine's Peak at 1300 metres above sea level.

This rare speciality coffee has all characteristics that make Jamaica Blue Mountain a world famous coffee - smooth, with a mild acidity, sweet creamy aftertaste, hints of chocolate and floral overtones.

St Helena:

St Helena, a volcanic tropical island in the South Atlantic Ocean, has been a British colony since the 17th Century and is one of the most isolated of British overseas territories. The native Green Tipped Bourbon Arabica varietal coffee was introduced to St Helena in 1733 by its then owner, The East India Company. The island's most famous resident was the Emperor Napoleon, who was exiled there after his defeat at Waterloo 1815 until his death in 1821. Many connoisseurs consider this to be the best coffee in the world. Napoleon agreed, stating that “the best thing about St Helena is the coffee”!

Bamboo Hedge Estate:

Bamboo Hedge Estate lies high in the Sandy Bay valley, approximately 400 meters above sea level. This rare coffee yields a cup of superb elegance and subtlety characterised by floral bouquet and a pronounced acidic fruitiness with notes of citrus, honey, berry, and stone fruits.

Panama, Hacienda La Esmeralda:

Located in the Boquete region of Panama, Hacienda La Esmeralda is a multiple award-winning coffee farm run by the Peterson family that has consistently achieved record-breaking prices at auction. The whole family is involved in production and prides themselves on absolute consistency and excellence in preparation, which is perhaps why they grow the finest Geisha in the world.

The estate is based in the province of Chiriqui in South-West Panama. This area has a mountainous topography, producing various microclimates which have a distinct influence on the coffee beans profile. The fairly cool weather and recurrent mists slow down the ripening of the coffee cherries, yielding a denser and more flavourful bean.

Private Collection:

Hacienda La Esmeralda's primary offering, the Private Collection coffee, is a 100% washed geisha grown above 1,500 meters, yielding a cup notable for high citric acidity, with a bold and juicy body.
