Identified by National Geographic in 2004, the world's five Blue Zones are regions where people live remarkably long and healthy lives. Nicoya, in Costa Rica, is the only one that grows coffee.

Grown by smallholder farmers in the highlands of Hojancha, where volcanic soils, clean air and abundant rainfall produce a cup unlike the rest of Costa Rica, with a soft, refined acidity balanced by a full, rounded body, and notes of winey tropical fruit, dark chocolate and caramel.
