Ethiopia - Rwanda - Kenya

From the birthplace of coffee, Sea Island have selected three of Africa's most famous and storied origins for our African Gift Selection. This collection represents the most charming and interesting of the ancient African coffee varietals.

Consisting of Ethiopia Yirgacheffe, Rwanda Muyongwe, and Kenyan AA, these wonderfully popular coffees are not only incredibly tasty, but great value for money - making a perfect affordable gift for any coffee lover.

 Yirgacheffe, Ethiopia:

The modern coffee plant as we know it was born somewhere in the region of south-west Ethiopia and the region remains steeped in coffee. The region’s proud majestic heritage as the birthplace of coffee is well represented in the rich flavour of the beans it continues to produce.

This coffee has aromatics of ripe red berries and the cup offers the sweet fruitiness of tinned peaches, coupled with a refined acidity.

Muyongwe CWS, Rwanda:

Produced in the Muyongwe Sector in the Northern Province of Rwanda, the CWS coffee was awarded the Cup of Excellence in 2015 and was the Rwandan Gold Cup winner in 2007.

Muyongwe coffees typically have an effervescent citrus flavour profile with high complexity and great elderflower sweetness.

Kenya AA:

Kenya is well known for its highly organised network of coffee cooperatives which produces a remarkable consistency in growing methods, milling, and auctioning for 150,000 growers, the majority of whom are small-scale farmers. Our signature Kenya AA is a mild type of Arabica, renowned for its intense flavour, full body, and pleasant aroma with notes of cocoa.

Cup characteristics include a big, bright citrus and lemon acidity, great intense body/balance, with a chocolatey, sugar cane aftertaste.

Our gift sets are exquisitely packaged in our signature matte black boxes and finished with satin white ribbon - the perfect gift for any coffee lover. All our other roasted coffees are also available gift wrapped - Simply add the item to your cart and select the gift wrap option at checkout.
