All of our Jamaica Blue Mountain beans are 100% Grade 1, Screen 17/18, and certified as export quality by The Coffee Industry Board of Jamaica.
Renowned throughout the world for it's incomparable standard of quality and smooth, creamy taste profile, Jamaica Blue Mountain has rightfully earned the nickname of 'The Champagne of Coffee'. Considered one of the best coffees in the world, Jamaica Blue Mountain must meet stringent regulations and be grown under very specific conditions to meet export quality.
The mountains are distinguished by their unique micro-climate and location which provide the ideal circumstances for growing high-quality coffee: at high-altitude on a tropical island, where near constant mist and cloud cover gives perfect shading and temperature, and the cool sea breezes provide ideal moisture levels.
Clydesdale Estate produces a classic Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee grown in the Parish of St. Andrew, at an average altitude of 1000 metres. The Clydesdale coffee region is nestled in the Grand Ridge of the Blue Mountains, adjacent to Jamaica’s largest National Park and Forest reserve in the very centre of the Blue Mountains - referred to as the 'Heart' of the Blue Mountains.
