Mount Everest Estate
Nepal

In 1939, a Monk travelling from Burma introduced coffee seeds to Nepal, marking the beginning of the country's coffee cultivation journey. Nearly five decades later, Ujjal Rana established the first commercial coffee estate in Nepal. The farms are situated on what were once barren rice fields, but through rewilding efforts, the estate now spans 100 hectares of lush coffee bushes. Amidst this regenerated landscape, endangered animals like leopards and diverse bird species have returned and found sanctuary.

Grown at 2200 feet in the Ganesh Himal sub-range of the Himalayas, the estate is renowned for producing our unique Mount Everest Supreme coffee, and today it still stands as the sole coffee plantation in the Himalayas. Situated within this awe-inspiring region it is one of the world's northernmost coffee plantations, sitting just outside the typical 'coffee belt'. Its unique geographical position helps to create a cup that is renowned for its depth and delicate flavour profile, reminiscent of fine tea.

This coffee is characterized by mild acidity, almost tea-like with hints of jasmine, and vanilla balanced with cocoa.
