About This Coffee

An exciting addition to the selection of small farms that Sea Island is exclusively working with, this rare coffee was obtained in-person by our Chairman on his trip to the island in 2024. Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is a small island country in the Caribbean, home to less than 10 individual coffee growers. With each farmer producing coffee in extremely small amounts for the local market, this coffee has never been exported off the island until now.

This particular coffee comes from the sole proprietor of the islands biggest farm, who until now roasted and sold all his coffee locally in Saint Vincent. Our Chairman happened to meet the owner by chance during one of his trips, and took the opportunity for a tour around the farm. The owner is young and passionate about coffee, and keen to grow his farm, so he agreed to start exclusively selling green coffee to us and allow Sea Island to work alongside him on developing his production. Our Chairman bought a few sacks of coffee on the spot – transported back to the UK in a suitcase on his flight!

Roasting

We roast all our coffee beans in small artisanal batches each day to preserve freshness and consistency. All ground coffee is ground to order just before shipping, so you can be assured your coffee has arrived as fresh as possible.

The majority of our coffees are medium roasted as a standard, unless otherwise stated on the product page.

Please contact us if you have any questions about our coffees or the way we roast.

Shipping

All orders are packed and shipped from our roastery in the UK.

We aim to process and ship orders within 1-2 working days, although large orders containing multiple varieties of roasted coffee may take slightly longer.

UK shipping is free on orders over £100.

For international orders, shipping costs and any duties & taxes are calculated and prepaid for at checkout - Any charges at customs are then dealt with in advance by us to ensure your coffee arrives as quickly as possible.

US shipping is free on orders over $250.

Saint Vincent's Coffee

A Rare & Limited Production

We’re very excited to have sourced this exceptionally rare origin and be the only coffee trader currently bringing Saint Vincent’s coffee to market. Although the island is home to an ideal coffee growing climate, first cultivated by the French in the 1700s, Saint Vincent’s coffee industry has never previously taken off in a viable way, but we think this origin could develop into something special for niche coffee enthusiasts in future.

Immense pride is taken in hand-picking, hand-sorting, and slowly drying this coffee as a solo operation, so the islands coffee production is very limited and otherwise dedicated to local consumption. The result is not just a smooth, balanced, and nutty cup of excellent coffee, but the story of a small farmer's opportunity to develop his production into a new exotic coffee origin for connoisseurs around the world.
